Freedom in the Air

Manara Cliff is situated on Highway #90 between Rosh Pina and Kityat Shmona. Opened to the public in 1998, the site is highlighted by Israel’s longest cable car. Ever since its inauguration, the site has served as an attractive activities center for the entire family. Year after year, the landscape spread out over the Naphtali Ridge promises an exciting, unforgettable time to everyone experiencing it.

The Lower Station

The Cable Car – The cable car ride is a memorable once-in-a-lifetime experience of enchanting vistas and a wealth of color.

The cable car climbs above the southern gateway to Kiryat Shmona, up to Kibbutz Manara, situated atop the Naphtali Ridge.

Its 12 cars go back and forth  simultaneously, traveling along a 1940-meter route and reaching a height of 750 meters.

Each car can transport up to 8 passengers, and the trip is suitable for people of any age.

Three stations are located along the way, each offering its own assortment of unique attractions.

Mountain Slides – The mountain slides, stretching along a spectacular 1200-meter panoramic course, are located at ground level. The route is circular, beginning at the mountain slope, and the velocity down the slide can reach 40 kmph. (Each person can control his or her velocity). Each slide seats two people.

Children from the age of 3 are permitted to use the slide, and they can be accompanied by children 12 years or older. (People with heart conditions or back problems, and pregnant women are forbidden from using the slides).

Trampoline-Bungy Dome – The unique trampolines feature four jumping stations. The trampolines are partially covered, to ensure a pleasurable experience all through the year. Jumpers can reach a height of 9 meters. Children four years and older can use the trampolines as long as they weigh no more than 100 kg.

The Upper Station

Natural Amphitheater - The amphitheater, framed by the mountain peaks surrounding it, which exude an ambience of tranquility, is suitable for any type of social occasion. It looks out over the Hula Valley and the Golan Hills, offering visitors spectacular panoramic views of the area, and it has been outfitted with a performance stage.

Guided Tours - Our guided tours offer an opportunity to experience nature. The tours, running about 20 minutes, begin in a grove and end up with a view of the landscape, as the guide comments on the landscape below – Galilee settlements, the local flora and fauna, sources of water, and more.

The Cliff Train – Departing from the upper level compound in the direction of Manara, it moves along a road at the western side of the cliff, stopping above the UN position, for some words on Lebanon: its history; settlements, etc. The train continues along a circular route to the center of the kibbutz, exiting it and traveling along the path of the grove, for some words on the Hula Valley. From there, it continues to the orchards for an explanation on the area’s different kinds of seasonal fruit.

The Children’s House – The Children’s House features a variety of creative activities, as well as a covered “Gymboree” featuring large spongy playground equipment). Designed especially for our very young visitors, it is suitable for kids no older than 10.

Area Attractions – “Dag al HaDan” Kayaks is located at the northern entrance to Moshav Beit Hillel, and visitors can select the route of their choice:

The Family Route, enjoyable and relaxing, coursing along areas of green vegetation. A tranquil kayaking experience (for children 5 years and older when accompanied by an adult in the same boat).

The Adventure Route, an exciting kayaking experience along rapids/waterfalls. Delightful moments, rapid and quiet in turns (suitable for youngsters 12 years and older when accompanied by an adult in the same boat).
